Agreeably to a Decree from the Circuit Court of Halifax bearing date May Term 1856 and herewith returned Your Commissioner has stated and settled the account due James Young & Co from Paul Taylor secured by deed of Trust and find that he owes James Young & Co the Sum of $1229.78 Int included to the 1st Oct 1856 and to James Young adm'r of Wm B Jeffress dec'd the sum of $187.89 like interest to 1st Oct 1856 and secondly your Commissioner has settled the am't. due Henry Terry from Paul Taylor amounting to the sum of $1165.23 Interest included to 1st October 1856 Your Commissioner reports that the Tract of land represented as purchased of the Estate of Wm B. Jeffress Containing 233 one tract of 92 acres & one tract of 30 acres 1 negro Woman Nelly & her Child Fanny and Negro Girl Nancey the Child of Lucey, has not been sold and they are in the possession of Col.
