No. 1 to 10 (inclusive and No.16- are the slaves referred to in the Deposition of M.G. Carper &c (which see for allowance &c) No. 11 to 14. Marie (20 yrs old in 1837) and 3 children - agreed as just & reasonable to charge hires for 3 [as to?] first years, and allow for keeping for remaining time " 15 - Madison - hired in Danville from 1837 to '41 say at 30 or 35$ per year to '41 - then at Iron works from '42 to '49 @ $60. average amount hire. (Dr Cragheads bill to be credited) " 17 - Mary (19 years old at Division in '37) very good negro - but from 1845 to sale subject to Rheumatism (as admitted by Comm'ee) No 18 her child born about 1847. " 19 - Nancy - strong likely woman - Judge says in constant habit of running away from persons to whom she was hired - " 20. her child - born about 1846. " 69. - Essex - Judge S. chargeable for his hire to Dr. Horton for 1841. $50 - E.W. Saunders has collected as Committee all the other bonds from 1837 a/c [account] to '49. --
