Circuit Court of Dinwiddie County. Thomas Stewart's distributees Against } Petition of E. G. Booth. Stith Thompson's heirs; To the Hon: John W. Nash Judge of the Circuit Court of Dinwiddie County. Humbly petitioning, sheweth unto your honor, your petitioner E G Booth: who respectfully represents that at one time the tenant for life was exceedingly anxious to sell to him his life interest in the tract of land in the proceedings mentioned, which he was unwilling to purchase unless he could make some arrangement for the purchase of the remainder. Your petitioner further represents, that in consequence of the importunities of the tenant for life he was induced to purchase said remainder under a contract with Thomas Berry entered into on the 16th day of March 1852, marked "A" herewith filed and prayed to be taken as apart of this petition, by which it will appear that he contracted to pay the full amount at which it had been offered for a considerable length of time. And it will further appear by deed marked "B" herewith filed and prayed to be taken as apart of this petition, that the said Berry has already conveyed to him the shares therein mentioned to which, as far as he is advised, there is no objection whatever. Your petitioner further represents that under a decree in the case of Steward's distributees vs Thompson's heirs
