[CERTIFICATE FOR FELONY NOT BAILED.] CITY OF RICHMOND, to wit: To the Clerk of the Hustings Court of said City. I, Joseph Mayo Mayor of the said City, do hereby certify that I have this day committed Joseph Farro Free negro to the jail of the said City, that he may be tried by the Hustings Court of the said City for a felony by him committed, in this, that on the 28th day of Septr. in the year 1863, at the City of Richmond, and within the jurisdiction of the Hustings Court, of the said City, he did feloniously, have and receive one hundred and twenty yards bleached and domestic of the value of three hundred and ninety dollars, seventeen pair of Ladies white cotton hose of the value of fifty dollars one lot spool cotton of the value of five dollars, and one lot of needles of the value of ten dollars, then lately before feloniously taken stolen and carried away he the said Joseph Farro well knowing the same to have been feloniously taken, stolen and carried away, of the goods and chattles of Levi Hexter Given under my hand, this 10th day of Octo: in the year 1863.
