Feb 20, 1945 Dear Helen I receive your letter today and was great to hear from you all, it had been almost three weeks since I heard from you well I am glad that I got a letter today I was worrying about you for awhile but since I heard from you I am alwright. How is Inez and back home getting along fine I hope I am getting along just fine and wondering when I can come back home to stay well I dont think it will be long now for we have the Germans on the run and we are not stoping until everyone is killed or taken as prisoners the day that this war is over I will be the happiest boy in the world. I was over to see Junior for a while this morning [illegible] he send [dad?] love I will wait till you [illegible]
