Richmond War and Community Fund Began a War Fund Campaign

This directive for the third War Fund Campaign of the Richmond War And Community Fund contained the instructions for "lieutenants" to organize and collect donations at their places of employment. Employees could use pledge cards to direct part of their paychecks to the Richmond War and Community Fund, which was created by the merger of the Richmond Community Fund and the Richmond War Effort during World War II. It was a forerunner of Richmond's modern branch of the United Way.
