Many of the people in Forsaken are buried in St. John’s Episcopal Church cemetery in Hampton. In the novel, Charles Mears resides on Lincoln Street facing the cemetery. This Sanborn Fire Insurance Map from 1910 will help orient the reader to the proximity of other events in the novel.
